So we're at the end of September and I figured I'd go ahead and give another update since we've updated a bit since I last wrote.

What Went Live in September?

New link submit form

On the new link submit form, found either at the bottom of a babe's links tab or directly from https://www.freeones.com/submit-new-link (you DO need to attach a babe to the link), you can add up to 3 categories, 5 tags and a link thumbnail. And, if you have a 20 lesbian orgy link, you can attach all the girls to the link

If you're a webmaster submitting your own affiliate galleries, send me a convo to get a dedicated webmaster account that will allow you to now manage all of your submitted links (i.e. you can go back and add more girls, categories, tags and images).

Updates and Fixes to Existing Pages and Features

- unsubscribing from Favorite Babe New Link mails has been fixed

- We made some updates to the FreeOnes Search Page to make it more usable (not faster, yet, just more usable). Since we're getting good feedback on these changes, we're now looking into how to make it faster.

- We've totally reworked the individual video pages. We've put the tags and categories at the top to make it more accessible, made the video player sticky so if you have a smaller screen and want to scroll down you can still watch the video. We've also made the video recommendations scroll able on non-mobile screens so you can scroll through and still watch your vid (really hope you like this!).

- We've updated the algorithm for the recommended photos/videos on the individual photo and video pages so they're tons more relevant than before. This update will lead us into being able to have a "recommended babes" feature once again.

- You can follow channels (there isn't new followed channel links yet)

- You can now add links, babes, photos and videos to your collections and/or playlist (video) from the kebab menus on the thumbnail images (the 3 dots)

- Added a search field to the porn by category block on www.freeones.com

- You can now search for things in the sort menu

What's Coming Up for October?

- GIF page! It's about 60% done and I expect to be able to test it early next week!!

- Logged in members will be able to download videos to their devices.

- Adding categories to channels.

And of course everything that was planned that I posted in the other thread is going to happen, including some rather big improvements to the babe submit, babe wiki and the babe's profile page. So I'm pretty excited!

HI Petra I excited for the gif page I have hundreds I've made from clips over the years and I hope I can make a contrabutiin of my stuff I necer obscure the production company watermark so sources should be easy but forgive the question I you already answered it somewhere else, but will the gif page have a mass upload option? I often will make 3-4 gifs of a scene I like maybe caption or something but like a little bundle that shows the f*ck arc of the scene.

In the beginning I'll be doing single uploads. I want to A) see how much its used B) How we do with copyright issues.

Just be aware (in the beginning), the sites connected will have to be sites that are in the FreeOnes database. This way we can make sure content is properly credited and we keep legal issues to a minimum.

You know, you're right. We've been so busy working on all this new stuff lately, I let it slack. Let me see what I can hustle up.

My regards to whoever designed and implemented this:

REALLY FUCKING HATE IT! If I scroll out of the video screen, I really fucking know what I'm doing and I do not need to be fucking chased, nannied around, mollycoddled, dragged around by the nose by some motherfucking retard-herding video player element obscuríng EVERYTHING ELSE that I just MIGHT have wanted to see, you know, because that's exactly the reason I scrolled away from the video for! This is just the kind of brainless infected mobile anal cunt development I have been against all this time and will continue to be, no matter what. Drives me livid.

Another thing I absolutely hate is this spastic zoom where page elements jump around, collapse and do whatever the fuck randomly happens to fit the screen! The video player page as an example, again. When I zoom, I will want to zoom the page uniformly where every element gets resized the SAME AMOUNT! I do not tolerate this rancid shit where some elements in the side of the screen spasm around every which way, while the central video player either gets bigger or smaller to fill the space or move out of the way of whatever the fuck menus or texts around it got zoomed, moved, collapsed or whatevered around. If zooming causes the page elements to become wider than what fits on the screen, then that's the way it is and that's what horizontal scrollbars are for. If zooming out reveals empty space on the edges of the screen, that's exactly the way that is too and empty space it is! Do not try to force everything to always desperately fill the goddamn screen in aggravatingly slow ways.

That brings me to the worst part about it. While zooming, the browser freezes to think for several seconds, to meditate and ponder on the sizes and positions of all the elements, 'cause then the entire page will need to be re-rendered. That apparently can't be done efficiently. Tried this on several browsers (Firefox, Iridium, Palemoon, Brave), all working slow as shit from an extremely constipated snail. Apparently it's so hard to do that browsers can't handle it, probably due to some javascript or some form of insanely slow rendering framework taking its time in the middle of it.

Separate sites for mobile and separate sites for real computers, that's what I think and have always thought. That sort of design will of course never return, we will from now on just design everything based on what fits on the smallest, most pathetic mobile touch device screen and get video elements forced stuck to the screen, because otherwise mobile users just automatically suicide or something. Desktop computer users - or laptop users for that matter - are just being served full on fucking spastic, slow-zooming diarrhea with forcibly obscuring elements in the face from now on, when it comes to website layouts.

Another extremely aggravating thing about your current video player: use mouse scroll wheel for scrolling and get stuck when mouse cursor hits anywhere within the video screen, because it then changes focus immediately (yes, without having clicked anywhere) to the volume knob of the player and starts to wank that around rather than continuing to scroll as it should!

I don't know if I'm missing something here, but on an individual babes page you were able to filter the links by photos and videos. It looks like the only the video filter exists. I know we could technically tell if a link was a photo link by the icon in the bottom corner of the preview image, but I was wondering if there were a way to filter it to only show photo links, like we were able to do before.

We still don't have our link uploader in the new system so for a lot of those the only choice we have is video or not video. Everything that is submitted to a babe section via the submit form will have the type. I'm hoping to get the link uploader into the new system by the end of the month. At a certain point, probably by the end of winter, nearly every link will have a type that's submitted.

And we are talking about making some sort of crawler to help recognize photo vs. video links for all of the links that's already live. but that would for sure be a next year thing.

Hopefully by the end of the year we'll have the ability to let users edit photo/video/links much like you can already do with babes. So then the community can also help straighten things out and earn credits in exchange.

I could see this as a very effective and popular solution. Hopefully you'll prominently advertise it when it's implemented!

Also just as a suggestion, in addition to marking it as a pic/etc, maybe it would be helpful to also "rank" the link, either numerical scale or simply like/dislike. This could be used to mark "gallery" sites with excessive popups (or even viruses), or galleries with tiny/low res photos that could pass as a thumbnail.

Rating a link with thumbs up/down is on the drawing board for the very near future. And of course once you can help edit/update link info and rate we'll announce it!
