I'm in the Central Time Zone in Illinois, I'm trying to set my time zone to Central, but whenever I do, it's always 1 hour ahead of what it should be, it should say about 9:00 but instead it still says 10:00

Ladylove, the time is right on that website you gave me, and I tried what Nightfly told me to do when he PM'ed me, so I don't have a fucking clue! :(

You mean the timezone on the board, do you?
When I set my timezone to Central, I get the Illinois time. Maybe it's a browser or computer setting?

Yep, I'm talking about the time on the very bottom of this page. It says I have it set on GMT-6 when I go to my Profile settings, but at the bottom of this page it still says GMT-5 and it's still an hour ahead. :(

You must be logged in to see the correct time for your timezone. The default timezone is GMT-5.

Time ZoneAll timestamps displayed on the forums can be automatically corrected to show the correct time for your location in the world. Simply select the appropriate time zone from the list below.

In addition, you may set the appropriate option to allow for daylight savings time in your part of the world.
Automatically detect DST settings DST corrections always on DST corrections always off DST Correction Option:

In the box for the above , needs to be set at automaticlly detect DST settings .

Henneberg:

I've attached a screen shot of what the display settings should look like for our time zone.

You can click on the link below even though it's awaiting approval... I've made it into a hot link for you and anyone else here in the C.S.T. zone.

Thanks Q, I FINALLY figured it out, I had my DST settings set wrong, but thanks to you, I figured it out. I had it set on Always detect DST settings instead of Automatically. :)
