Let's be realistic here...

There are probably more than 33 illegal immigrants WORKING at that power plant.

Yes I believe in my gov't. It's just that protection takes $$$$. People lately pucker up and tighten their bungholes at the mere mention of taxes. People expect everything to happen perfectly and everything must cost nothing.

We have known about security risks since the 9/11 commission. But we have done nothing to address some of the critical commission's recommendations for 6 years. Now that the economy has cratered and we're bogged down in a recovery...nothing is bound to happen anytime soon.

That source you linked to seemed very "basement-ish," fwiw....

Homeland Security is too busy hassling innocent airline passengers about their carry-on shampoo or their just-purchased bottle of Sprite to worry about trivial things like securing nuclear plants or guarding the President. Why worry about stuff like that when there are old ladies trying to board airplanes with tubes of Dentucream in their purses?

too true. make the populace believe the government is in control, while it is obvious it cannot control much. Make the people feel "safe" and all is well
