Question about some websites

I really have 2 questions.

1. There are some websites that are like "indexes" of porn. One example (I believe it isn't allowed on here) is tiav*.com. Duckyporn is another. What do you call those sites? Index sites?

2. Sometimes someone will post a link and, when you click on it, it takes you to an "ad" site or an "index" site. A couple more clicks will yield random results and eventually you will get to the page the OP had in mind. What is the deal with that randomness? Is it safe?

Do you mean Ask *****? If so it is a porn search engine. You can find galleries by putting in the name of a model or fetish you are after. There are tons of thumbnail gallery sites on the internet where you get a long listing of thumbnails and when you click on one it takes you to the gallery. The safety depends. Some are completely safe and others try to hijack your browser. I suggest no script if you use Firefox.

It seems what you describe has been a scourge of the "porn" internet for years.
As far as it being safe - caution is key.
Usually when I get redirected, I'll click off that window right away.

I think you basically answered your first question - I believe those sites are called "gallery indexes."
