Modern Warfare2:weapons/perks I use,recommendations,my rank is....,advice etc thread.

Thought I'd start a seperate "informational" thread for modernwarfare2 where you can ask for advice on perks/weapons,post your rank,give recommendations/incite etc. Could this stuff just be put on the Modern2 thread? Yes,but mad people play this thing and whoever doesnt have it yet will prob be getting it so its cool to have useful info not mixed in with a billion other things.....

My rank is 48 Lieutenant colonel II
Used the AugHbar gun forever until I got the ACR. Finding that the ACR is extrememly accurate and the best all around gun for range,damage,accuracy.

5 created classes:

Main all purpose class(ACR gun)

Fast reload class(small maps)

Rocket launcher as secondary class (for copters etc)

Killstreaks class(perk2 hardlinepro)

Main all purpose class 2 (augHbar gun)

attachments....red dot sight and FMJ for better bullet penetration.

who hates or likes 3 round burst guns? I cant use em' for some reason....

Im on rank 63, can't really remember all my class layouts but i do know that my main guns are the ACR, SCAR-H, Aug Hbar and RPD. Sniper rifles i usually use any of them but mainly Intervention or the Barrett.

Depending on what game mode i play ill change my perks to suit. For core games i generally use stopping power, steady hand. For hardcore i go with cold blooded and ninja.

anyways,is there gonna be a perk coming up where you can carry 2 primary weapons at once? I heard something about it but I dont see in the perks menu.....????

Its called "one man army" Its located in the 1st perk slot. So for me it replaces bling pro or scavenger or marathon pro, depending on the class. Really not worth it IMO. It only lets you switch classes at anytime. And even at that you still have to wait. I used it for a few matches and took it right back off.

I'm at lv 45.

My favorite class (Im a level 60):
Slot 1: ACR
Slot 2: Javelin
Perk 1: Bling Pro: Red Dot + Silencer
Perk 2: Stopping Power Pro
Perk 3: Commando Pro
Death Streak: Any

Too bad I can't play the game for a while

yeah I tried that one man army bullshit and it takes forever to load the meter up to get a different class. I'm talking about being able to switch from 2 different assault rifles like you would just switch to the little secondary guns........cant do this is what I'm getting here.

I think that was a misunderstanding of the one man army perk prior to the games release.

The only thing One Man Army is good for are the easy points you get for leveling it up. You can get kills with any weapon as long as its part of your class and you will progress.

I like the M16, the Famas not some much, have to admit it is easier to get kills with the burst weapons on hardcore mode !!

I'm thinking of using my M16 with a thermal scope for my sniper class. Just to do it for a few rounds. Might be good for me since I suck at sniping!

I am a level 26, it's still hard for me but i am getting better. Have you guys noticed that nobody uses the sniper rifles anymore?

I love playing special ops though.

Thats because most assault rifles have no recoil and the damage at long distances is practically the same as point blank, so they are actually more effective to snipe with than sniper rifles.

I use them! Barrett .50 cal with thermal scope owns Wasteland. On Derail i just take the thermal off.

Riot Shields are complete bullshit... carry the c4 and toss at someone with a shield, when they run to melee you click the button to blow'em up.

Otherwise you'll waste clips trying to kill these guys.

the RPD gun is a madman.....using it over the ACR now. Its damage is better,accuracy just as good with the grip attachment and you never have to reload the thing. The clip holds insane rounds and it doesnt take much to kill people so.......

Yeah the RPD is a monsterous gun, the downside is that you need SOH on it (IMO anyway). Also the AugHbar is pretty decent, but i think the RPD is probably the best light machine gun on the game.

Yeah it takes forever to load the thing,even with slight of hand it takes too long. However,one clip gives you alot of ammo and alot of punch. If you're careful and not spraying a half a clip per enemy you'll see that you won't even need to reload more than once.....

What do you guys think the best pistol is? for me its gotta be the Raffica. Even though its only a 3 round burst, its accuracy and sturdy-ness is outstanding.
