This, unfortunately, is just a knee-jerk reaction caused by the public. I almost feel as though they were forced to charge him. Supporters of Trayvon Martin should be disappointed though, because the court will never convict him for the the level of charges brought up. The prosecutors will have a hard time making the case for second-degree murder, but now that he is charged as such, they must convict him under those charges. They could have had a better case if they had charged him with involuntary manslaughter or reckless homicide.
There was no homicidal intent whatsoever on the part of Mr. Zimmerman, it was purely self defense. Case closed.
Oh sure, the self proclaimed reverend(s) of the black community will say otherwise, but that's their job, make the white guy culpable for everything that goes wrong in the black community. Hey, revs, if my memory serves correct, The Civil Rights Act was of the 1964 dateline, get it together already, it's time you guys stop milkin this these isolated incidents for all their worth and begin assuming some personal responsibility all your own as a community.
Why don't they ever go out into their own communities and plead with their own young people to stop killing each other? It's not profitable.
I think the verdict will be case of stand your ground or self defense, good luck for proving that it was a second degree murder. If he is considered as innocent, you will have the same shit than during the Oj Simpson or Rodney King cases perhaps worse.

Anyway, anyone here remember OJ Simpson? Ese Zimmerman has NOT been found guilty yet. I think the prosecutor is being a bit too ambitious in charging the Ese with Second Degree Murder so he (she?) will have to meet the burden of proof for that crime which is higher than what the Ese should have been charged with: manslaugther, so the Ese might actually end up walking then.
So, if there's a race war coming, will it be black vs. whites? Or more appropriately, blacks vs. Eses?Well, at least we the Eses could get the Zetas to back us up
It is not about being wise or not, it is about being realistic. Who is involved in gangs?? Who loves easy and dirty money and who wants to play the tough guys in their streets by encouraging prostitutions rings, drug smuggling and drive by shootings? Ask yourself these questions who is encouraging this kind of behaviour and you will perhaps find an answer with a possible solution to the problem. You will tell me that they are not given a chance at school? If they are not doing their homework and not studying then they should blame their ownselves. It's funny how people can come to such concrete conclusions on a matter (whether for or against) without fully being in possession of all of the pertinent facts about the case.

I can't believe this is even an argument with some of you nut jobs. A kid got shot for no damn reason, it doesn't matter if he is white, black, purple, blue etc. For all those claiming Zimmerman was exercising self defense you don't self defend by following someone and initiating a dispute. You also don't bring a gun to a fist fight and if you are properly trained with a handgun you do not fire a kill shot when your weapon has to be fired.
Bottom line, Zimmerman will be convicted and he will go to jail. There are so many eyewitness's that saw Martin screaming for help and they are dying to testify against him. All the other racial bickering and bullshit that is going on about this case is irrelevant and shows the true racist character of a few members. Not that its a surprise from the members it is coming from.
