Why do i need to have my threads approved before they are posted?

Why do i need to have my threads approved before they are posted? Is it because of my post count? If so, how many posts do i need until i am free to post threads without approval?

Because you have fewer than 5 posts. Once you have five (I think) posts, you don't need the approval anymore.

Yes, but it should be more for people who join and wait 3 years before making their first post.

The reason you have to have your first 5 posts approved is to make it easier for us to catch spammers early on.
