I've noticed from this thread, and many others, that many, many ppl here d/l from Kazaa. I do too. Often, when somebody is d/l from me, I check to see what they've got, hoping we have similar interests. From my experiences, I'd say around 90% of these ppl share absolutely nothing, I mean NOTHING! About another 5% share around 100 files, each 0 KB... in other words, NOTHING! That leaves about 5% of the users sharing anything, much less sharing anything I want from them. I was wondering if anybody here has seen this pattern or conversely thinks I wrong in my estimation. Also, if ur one of these people who don't share, I'm curious to know why. I'll take no offense, I'm just curious as to why no one wants to share something (even just a handful of files) when it costs them nothing to do so. :confused:

I dont keep stuff on the comp, thats the main reason I dont share. It goes onto CDs and then gets scrubbed. I share music and other frequently used (and more to the point, less risque stuff), but the smut isnt usually around long enough on the comp itself to share.

I'm on kazaa a lot too man and to be honest I don't share my files for 2 reasons: it slows your download time and you never know when the pigs, i.e. gov't is trying to get something off you. Besides I have some but not too many files to share, i burn them all then get rid of them.

with kazza lite, there is software which blocks others from seeing your shared folder. You can still download from these people, just cant see what they have. I think its to stop people getting fined/arrested for sharing copyrighted material.

Kazaa is bullshit for most quality stuff...full of fakes, and patheticly small clips which take an age to download. Plus as you say, no-one shares. Having said that I did get 2/3 of Linsey Dawn's 18th Birthday video off Kazaa but that was a one-off. I'm surprised that no-one ever downloads any of the full length movies I have to share. Maybe just not many Linsey fans on Kazaa!

Bit******* isn't a program like Kazaa so it doesn't have it's own desktop, it adds itself onto Internet Explorer but is inactive until you go to a Bit******* site such as http://www.suprnova.org (sorry, no porn on that site though!) and merely click to download one of the ******* files. Bit******* works as a file sharer because it allows you to join a pool of other users all downloading the same media. The longer you leave your download window open, the faster other people can get it as it uses your bandwidth!

Incidentally, search through the archives of these places as I got the whole LDM hardcore movie off a Bit******* site...

I'm not familiar with bit******* at all but am curious to know more. Are there many "bittorrenet sites" like the one the Rev posted? If so, what are they and which are the best ones? All those appz are full of spyware I'd beware. I'm a mac user and I've tries Neo which is Kazaa for the mac and it sucks nothing on it worth downloading. Limewire I use often but only for downloading programing. And I've located the spyware component and got rid of it. You can find quality stuff w/out Peer to peer appz. Internet Explorer doesn't live on my computer nor Outlook Express. Mozilla Firebird is a great browser and Camino fucking Rocks kick as fast......

I don't know if it is all real or if theyre staged but those movies are still great to watch.. What is great is the whole theme of Net Video Girls. I'm personally fed up with Kazaa. There's to many people who have no problem downloading files but don't have the courtesy to share them. I can understand people not wanting to share their audio files for fear of being sued, but I have never heard of anybody being sued for sharing videos. I've got a fairly big music library that I too am scared to share but I also have a fair amount of video clips that I have no problem sharing. People say that sharing eats up their bandwidth and slows their downloads, but if you set the max # of uploads to say 6 or 8 or even 2 you most likely won't notice a difference. It's for this reason that my new favorite is Overnet. The more you share, the faster you're downloads are, and that's the way it should be. I say "give what you get, or at least some of what you get".

But that's just my :2 cents:

As my previous postings on this thread would indicate, I also agree with scar69. There are too many people downloading off Kazaa who aren't willing to share or only give a minuscule amount compared to what they take.

One good feature on Overnet, (also found on WinMx, btw), is the ability to d/l from incomplete files and then get the rest (ie. continue d/l'ing) from a finished file. This means who don't *have* to find a complete file to start a d/l.

However, Overnet also has the feature (that WinMx doesn't) whereby decreasing your upload speed automatically decreases your d/l speed... in essence *forcing* you to share... I rather like that, considering I always share files.

Overnet and WinMx are file-sharing networks, Kazaa is a file-leeching network.

I'm using both of the former p2p's, and although I've had Kazaa for years I'm strongly considering abandoning it altogether.
